LimeLight™ Intense Pulse Light (IPL)
Now featuring the newest and most advanced  Intense Pulsed Light  (IPL) system available today from Cutera®. In keeping with Avanti Skin Center’s philosophy to provide treatments individually tailored to your skin’s need, we now have control over all of the treatment parameters required to optimize your results, while maintaining the unique safety and comfort features unique to Cutera®.   

Intense Pulse Light (IPL) treatments address an array of pigment changes caused by the sun that occur in the surface and mid skin layers. The signs of sun damage will flake off after one or more treatments leaving clear, younger looking skin.  “Intelligent” Pulse Light, at specific wavelengths seeks out and safely destroys red and brown dyschromia (abnormal pigmentation) at the skin surface. In addition to treating skin pigmentation, this treatment modality also effectively treats abnormal vascular redness and superficial fine blood vessels, while stimulating the most superficial collagen layer   An innovative way to quickly, safely and comfortably improve skin texture,  acne, Rosacea and generalized redness, fade fine veins, and remove sun spots and age spots from your face, chest, arms, and hands without gel or topical anesthetics. .  The Cutera® light sources at Avanti Skin Center utilize state of the art technology to safely and consistently provide you treatments which automatically calibrate with each pulse as well as having consistent contact cooling to add to your safety and comfort.

Laser Genesis™
The Laser Genesis™ technique using the innovative 1064nm nd-yag laser at Avanti Skin Center improves the general textural changes associated with aging skin. The papillary dermis is targeted by the laser energy, with only a sensation of warmth, as the laser beam is gently painted over the skin surface. A usual treatment session which provides 5-10,000 laser impulses to the face stimulates collagen production and reorganization at a level closer to the surface than the Titan™ treatment.  Over the course of the treatment schedule, pore size is reduced, texture improves, fine lines and wrinkles diminish, and diffuse redness and rosacea fades.  This stimulated tightening and  new production of superficial collagen will also improve the appearance of acne and wound scars. An option for all skin types, Essence magazine calls this the “best facial for women of color.”

Titan™
This is an inspired way of treating lax skin. Titan™ uses an infrared light to heat the deeper layers of the dermis.  The immediate result is existing collagen re-coils, much like returning a stretched out spring to its original shape.  This instant change in the collagen structure firms the skin naturally providing immediately visible results in most cases.  But there is more.  Over the next month this treatment stimulates the dermis to produce more young collagen thus further thickening the skin and enhancing the original results.  This breakthrough treatment is more comfortable than Thermage® and has no downtime.  In addition, because the energy levels are controlled, there is no risk of damage to the underlying support tissues of the skin causing pits or dimpling.  This exciting new treatment can be applied nearly anywhere on the body where skin is loose or sagging.

CoolGlide® Vascular Laser
The unique 1064nm yag laser at Avanti has a full range of adjustments and energy settings to optimally diminish all visible superficial blood vessels in a wide range of sizes nearly anywhere on the body with no painful injections. Unlike many 1064 nm Nd:Yag lasers on the marketplace today, pulse after pulse, the CoolGlide® automatically calibrates and consistently delivers the exact treatment selected while also providing the most effective continuous feedback contact cooling available.

CoolGlide® Laser Hair Removal
The CoolGlide® systems was the first nd:yag system approved for use on all skin types (including African-American) and tanned skin, allowing treatment of a wider patient base than other systems. The proprietary PowerFlex™ Technology allows independent control of pulse width and fluence thus permitting effective treatment on a range of hair thicknesses, including the often difficult-to-treat finer hairs that are left by other systems after a number of treatments.

ProWave770® Hair Removal

ExcellaDerm™ Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a progressive, non-surgical approach to skin care which results in immediate improvement in your skin’s appearance and texture.  The ExcellaDerm™  M2000 used at Avanti Skin Center is a physician grade machine with multiple patents providing the most effective treatment possible. The Advantage of this technology over the newer “diamond wand” methods of microdermabrasion is the three dimensional effect on the irregular skin surface, even within pore cavities, as opposed to a two dimensional surface sandpaper effect. In addition, with the ExcellaDerm™ microdermabrasion technology, there is no concern about the risk of infection or transmission of blood particles due to inadequate sterilization of the reusable wands on other machines.  It can be used alone, or as an adjunctive treatment to light based therapies providing quicker results.  Most individuals achieve maximum benefit from a series of treatments spaced two weeks to a month apart. As the damaged and aged cells are exfoliated and vacuumed away, the production of collagen is stimulated, helping to maintain elasticity, leaving a more youthful, glowing appearance.
